The London National Secular Society (NSS) has gained hundreds of thousands of followers in their effort to establish a way to de-baptize former Christstians. Make no mistake, the efforts of the NSS are not to diminish the number Christains, but to provide an official statement for those who were baptized too young to have developed their own personal religious beliefs that may be different from Christianity.
Likewese, they are many followers in Argentine. Ariel Ballino, a compaigner of this idea in Argentine and former Christian, explains why - apart from baptism interferring with any changed religious - individuals seek the need for a de-baptism. "The church counts all those who have been baptized as Catholics and lobbies for legislation based on that number, so we're trying to convey the importance of people expressing that they no longer belong to the church." This is significant in allowing baptized idividuals labeled as Christian to have the choice on conflicts between liberal values and the Roman Catholic Church on issues such as gay rights and abortion. Thus, the de-baptism movement has made a stride on strenghthen the seperation between church and state.

Obama's Solutions to Global Warming

Along with other numerous obstacles, Obama has confronted the common threat of global warming. This has become a job for our modern scientists. They call it geoengineering, and entails the finding ways use technology to cool Earth's climate. There is currently no certain plan for action on exactly how we intend to prevent any further temperature increase, but scientists have developed an early proposal. They have theorized to emit pollution particles into our atmosphere that would provide an affect similar to the ash of an erupted volcano by reflecting the sun and therefore regulating the amount of heat that reaches Earth. However, scientists say they don't want to jump on the first solution possible, and they would rather use an alternative idea that doesn't involve polluting our atmosphere with greenhouse gases. On the other hand, the urgency of the issue must not be ignored, scientists also which to prevent this issue from worsening and causing any unpredictable disasters. Our artic icelands are in grave dangers of becoming extinct and face only time before they disappear.

Obama's Reaction to Korean Tension

North Korea has created tension, prodominantly to South Korea, but essential to other countries around the globe, the United States amongst them. The tension is a result of what North Korea proclaims as a communication statellite launch. However, South Korea has suspicion that the "satellite launch" is a cover up for nuclear missile activity.
Apart from discussing economy at the G-20 summit, President Obama has also met with South Korean President Lee Myung-bak to discuss this issue. Obama has sided with Lee and they are dtermined to take a united approach in making sure that there is no dangerous threat regarding the launch. Japan and South Korea suggested that North Korea's actions of a missile launch would be a violation of the United Nation Security Council.
Questions regarding the status of North Koreas launch are unanswered, but Obama and Lee are committed to dismantling any possible nuclear activity. As this issue remains tense Lee has anounced that he will visit Obama June 16 for any further updates.
